Windows 10 IoT Core released

According the last news for Windows 10 IoT Core released with the Windows 10 on July 29, I’ve tried to reinstall it on my Raspberry Pi2

I’ve installed the RC one and with the release installation you have to unistall the RC before.

After open the image and run the Windows_10_IoT_Core_RPi2.msi that you can find inside.

In that way the new tools will be installed in your PC. Above all installed softwares, there is the Windows IoT Core watcher that search in your private network all the devices.

As you can see from the above picture, in my network there is only one device. Now it’s possible to connect to our device from Visual Studio or, with right click on device, choose Web Browser here. A new web browser will appear and the credentials will be required. On default the user is “Administrator” and the password is “p@ssw0rd”. From this web utility you can manage all the applications on the device, the startup application and you can stop the active applications.

Another great function that is installed, is the utility for create the image on the micro SD card for Raspberry. But this will be the argument of next post.

Stay tuned!
